Join us at the Arverne East Nature Preserve Welcome Center on April 12, 2026 at 12:00 PM for a fun and cozy gathering! We’ll be crafting beds and toys for shelter dogs and cats who need some extra comfort and love. Whether you’re a pro or just starting, come hang out, craft, and make a difference together. All crafting is beginner friendly. Bring your creativity and good vibes—let’s make some pawsome memories!
Donations for collars, leashes, unexpired treats/food gently used towels and beds will also be collected.
All items created and collected will go directly to Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) to help provide comfort to animals waiting for their forever homes. Learn about the world of rescue with Zion's Mission, a New Hope partner with ACC, while enjoying light snacks and drinks and making a small difference, one BED at a time.
ALLERGY WARNING: catnip will be available for cat toys.
